The Role
I've really enjoyed that whole year and have loved the challenge.
I have built many close relationships with my colleagues over the past year.
My manager always helped when i needed it but only put me in the right direction instead of telling me the answer.
I always had something to do and felt pushed but not strained.
I was left to make my own decisions and take responsibility for my actions but always had back up if i needed it. I never felt undermined or patronised.
I've learnt so much over the past 12 months that will help me at university and in my future career, not only academically, but also personally with things such as presentation skills and customer service.
The Company
The office was a really great place to work with people bouncing ideas off each other.
Cummins have been employing placements and graduates annually for a long time now and it shows.
We had personal development such as presentation training, customer service training, team work training and how to adapt to a business environment training. This was on top of sending me to customers and suppliers to see how our products were use and how the materials we buy are produced.

They have told me that i have a graduate position when i finish my degree.
The Culture
With around 25 graduates and placements from around the globe there were hugely varied social events taking place many times a week, from sports activites, cinema trips, hiking weekends, surfing holidays, nationality themed parties and drinking socials.
Stamford is a very expensive place to live and socialise!
Stamford is a small town but we made it our own at the weekends.
Most of the time there was something going on but Stamford is quite a quiet place.
