The Role
I found my placement here engaging, interesting and exciting, with lots of opportunities to contribute and a variety of event to participate in
I worked both independently and in conjunction with my team members on different projects which will be implemented later in the year
My management were always there to assist whenever I was unsure on a topic and also kept providing me with different tasks to ensure I always had a target to work towards
It varied , but each day I had at least a few tasks to work towards that meant that I was kept reasonably busy. Others I could have several deadlines to work towards and so was working consistently throughout the day
I was given responsibility for a number of tasks, some of which carried a lot of responsibility and so made sure that I had to complete my work to a high standard.
They improved on skills that I had, such as time management, organization and logical thinking. However in a practical sense I did not need much knowledge from my degree during the placement
The Company
The atmosphere was always welcoming and reasonably relaxed. The people I worked with were very friendly and helpful when I was unsure
The internship was extremely well organized, with many varied events being planned and executed, and so many opportunities for growth
They invested in me a lot, teaching me a lot about the industry in a short space of time and then allowing me to put that knowledge into practice with roles that held a reasonable degree of responsibility. However most training was during the job, rather than being given separate time to train
Company Parties/Events
If accepted onto the graduate program the opportunities are varied, being able to apply to different departments and roles with possibilities for advancement.
The Culture
The interns here met up at least once a week to catch up, as well as events being organized between the people currently on the grad scheme and the interns to create a great social atmosphere
I was in London, so the costs were quite high, however the food provided in the building was reasonably priced and a variety of options were given
The nightlife varied depending on the area that was visited but overall it was fun and a good way to socialize with my fellow interns
We were given chances to join a variety of different sports clubs, as well as team events that took place out of work hours that allowed us to get to know our team members better
