The Role
Highly, we were given projects to work on over the 10 weeks but also encouraged to use the internship not merely as work but as a chance to gain a full insight of JP Morgan Technology.
My project work is being taken on and used in weekly reporting for the team. I was exposed to higher management in effort to help convince them the new software would be useful in weekly reporting.
Team mates, campus recruitment team, and senior advisor were all happy to meet and advise.
depended on how efficient I was. Sometimes had to wait for access to certain things.
I was left to my own devices in terms of getting in touch with people through out the business as well as coming up with the new format for the reports I was working on replacing.
I don't know if I'll use this software again but it's been good exposure to all levels of the tech side of the business
The Company
Relaxed, good social amongst interns. Very central in Glasgow.
The campus recruitment team has a good set up, plenty of intern events, a give back day with a BBQ. Plenty of info given about the grad scheme and life after that.
You could do online training if you had time. They give interns a lot of time to ask questions and gain a good insight of working here.
I don't know if I'll continue to work in tech but if I do I would come back here. Several other lines of business also. On track to receive an offer.
The Culture
Became good friends with a few other interns and Glasgow is a good place to go out.
Lived with family but travel was cheap. there's a good mix in Glasgow for socializing, depends what you want.
Good.
Some people did hackathons, I joined a local rowing club for a bit.
