The Role
The internship was great! It did involve hard work but you were given responsibility and has ownership of your work. There were no menial tasks, your work benefitted the team and played a role in its success.
Work was appreciated by colleagues globally.
Very flat structure at JP when it comes to management. I sat between my internship manager and global head of my team making feedback and support very accessible.
You will work hard at JP. There's no doubt about it, but if you are determined and enjoy it, you will find that days fly by!
I was given a lot of responsibility whilst working at JP, if you show you can be trustworthy they will give you more and more. Even though I had this individual responsibility there was always support from my team when I needed it.
I am studying in engineering so this finance internship didn't benefit my degree studies greatly however, it has given me skills crucial to the career path that I am choosing to take!
The Company
Work hard play hard atmosphere. The team will push you in the day, however will happily take the time to explain anything. As soon as the day is over the team was good to be around and I would genuinely say I have made some close friends in my short time here!
There was good organization on the internship, from the training at the beginning to educational series throughout the internship. The method of performance measurement was also well set up.
JP invested a lot in our internship with guest speakers, specific external training and specific help from the team.

The Culture
There was a very good social life with the other interns and work colleagues!
Very expensive in Knightsbridge.
In the surrounding area there were a few good pubs but as you are based in London there is so much else around with easy access.
Yes, from volunteering to sports events and socials.
