  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a fantastic opportunity to get an insight of how the bank works and how it operates its core functions.

  • My colleagues were amazing, they were sharp, smart and friendly. What else do you need from peers?

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • We were provided with guidance and support on every step through out the internship. Let it be regarding work, careers or even general life.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Initially I had quite some time free as my managers and supervisors were busy with their work but as the internship went on, it got so busy that it was difficult to imagine even half an hour of breaks in the schedule.

  • I worked as any other person in the office, in terms of the work load and responsibility.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have utilised the skills I learnt during my degree in University and I will definitely use my skills learnt in this internship in my studies and my career in the future.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • We had quite a good time in the office, there was even a lunch planned during the time I worked there.

  • The program was very well organized, it showed how well settled and organized the company it self is.

  • Quite a bit, I think the company put in quite a bit of time in training programs and courses.

  • They do look bright!

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes we used to go out quite a bit for dinner etc.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The area I worked in was a center of office life and every Friday you could see loads of people coming out of office and enjoying the start of the weekend, the cost of living was quite moderate, nothing too high or too low.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I wasn't that much of a night life person, but to what I've heard my colleagues did have fun.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes there were some, you could always signup for a J.P. Morgan run for a cause or the corporate responsibility day. We had some BBQs as well just for the interns!
