The Role
I am glad I went for it. I got a lot of insight of the company, managed to make a lot of connections. I got to work in an international team and developed close relationships with a lot of people. This internship gives a lot of opportunities, one just has to take them.
I developed close relationships with my team members in my office, with other interns and other bank employees. A lot is done by the company to maintain a friendly atmosphere so that everyone would find it enjoying.
I don't think I would be able to succeed without the help of my manager. He always asks how I am doing and always helps me when I ask for it. I was given a lot of time to learn by my manager, nobody pressured me, so I worked in my own tempo.
I had a personal task, so how busy I was only depended on me. I found the workload to be perfect. It was challenging enough, but I also was able to finish work on time and didn't have to stay late a lot, unless I myself decided to stay.
I think I was given a very healthy amount of responsibility. I was given a personal task, so I was only responsible for it, for my work and my time management, as well as all the events for the interns.
I think they are going to help a lot, because I was applying knowledge I got while studying, and the skills I got here will assist me with further studies, too. What I was doing is highly relevant to my degree.
The Company
Generally very relaxed, but also motivating. Employees were not running around stressed all the time, and at the same time everyone was working hard. Obviously, the company wouldn't be able to succeed without hard work of its employees.
There seemed to be a lot of effort put into this internship by the organizers. There were a lot of networking events, a lot of opportunities to prove yourself, a lot of informal events to get to know each other.
From the first moment I had to deal with this company I could see how much is being invested into young potential employees. We were given all the opportunities for training in all the fields we wanted, and a lot of time and resources was invested into out development and training so we could learn a lot about the company.

I haven't finished yet so I haven't got an offer yet, but I would like to work for this company. The benefits of working here are big, no matter if you are planning to stay here till the end of you career or if it is just the first step of it.
The Culture
Great atmosphere, knew some of the interns from the Spring Week organized by JPM. We spend a lot of time together during lunch and after work. I hope those connections stay because they are all great people.
I work in Canary Wharf in London. The cost of living can be quite different, generally high. The cost of socialising can be anything depending on the personal taste. Bars around Canary Wharf are quite expensive for a student, but adequate for an employee.
A lot of bars around, full after 6pm, very buzzing atmosphere, although most of the people who go there work there, so you are not likely to see a student party or lots of tourists around.
Yes, there are several business groups within the bank that are open to any of the employees where people do volunteering , and employees can engage in as many as they want. We also had a pub quiz and some women events.
