The Role
Amazing experience. Access to management across all levels. Great mentorship and very active FO/Client Interactive jobs
Directly help senior bankers whilst they were on calls with/ meeting clients out of the office to gather urgent and ultimately vital information. Felt like we were needed a vital part of the time.
100%. Access to information and people was amazing.
Very full on, but rewarding. 06:45 until 8pm was full on every day whether due to work/ meetings. Believe it or not each day went very quickly.
Varied. Critical work for the business was overall limited, but as an intern this is obvious. Client calls and finding vital information was part of the every day task which is important to the business. So mixed. More than on pervious Investment Banking internships (I have done a years placement at a different Bulge Bracket)
Presentation, confidence, investment knowledge, communication all improved massively. Vital for any future role
The Company
Very friendly. If you want to (and you should) you can get to know everyone over a coffee/lunch which is very useful as the whole office works as a team due to JP's model. Everyone is fun and there a number of social events and client events which are great.
Very well organized in terms of intern events/ learning opportunities. Each person's desk experience depends on their teams - mine was great, Due to the youth of the internship program a lot of senior bankers do not really understand how it works.
A lot, meetings every day. The training week was great. Pitch/presentation practices weekly.

Very. Coming back here would be the dream. JP is definitely a world leader in Investment Banking. The figures speak for themselves, the atmosphere is friendly and the culture inspiring.
The Culture
Yes the majority of interns socialized every weekend and most week days. We had a great team. With anything there were a couple who did not participate - probably in the wrong industry.
Knightsbridge is extremely expensive and with the work hours living near the office is essential. The salary is very high so spending a lot on accommodation is not a problem in the internship.
A couple of good pubs where the office seemed to go a lot. No real clubs, so would head to Chelsea/ South Ken.
Apart from socializing not really. The sports teams were breaking over the summer (rugby anyway)
