The Role
Got to learn about Capitals markets, specifically the debt side (LevFin, Loans & Acquisition Finance)
I felt that my colleagues did try to implicate me as much as they could despite the short time I spent with them
My managers were very fair, open and approachable, which was very refreshing
The summer time is typically slow in Investment Banking but I did have some busy times when working on deals
I was given a decent amount of responsibility for an intern and got to take part in meetings with MDs and directors
I believe I did manage to learn more about the market aspects of Finance, being in CMO but also improved by knowledge of credit analysis and valuation to some extent
The Company
Good atmosphere overall
Well organised with events, and smooth transitions between rotations
The firm did invest in a week's worth of training and other employees did help participate in training us with their explanations and patience
Company Parties/Events
Working at Citi would be a great way to start any career
The Culture
drinks and events were often with other colleagues
Canary Wharf is a relatively expensive area
Great nightlife in London
Yes I did mange to make the most of my weekends and enjoy activities with my friends
