The Role
I have learned a lot during my time here, however I feel like I have had too much spare time on some days. I have not been challenged to the level I was expecting. However, I have gained hands on experience of a banking industry and at global level, and I am happy to have had this opportunity.
My input was valuable and recognized across the team I was part of, however many times memebers of my team would need reassurance from my manager for tasks which I have completed, which wasn't encouraging for myself.
During my time here, I was able to reach out to many people who were volunteering to help me understand my tasks better or how to continue if I reached a bottleneck.
My task has been very repetitive and on many days I had no tasks to complete.
The skills I have developed and learn will be extremely valuable in my future career but also on a personal level. I have learned how to communicate more effectively, manage my time better and grasp information quickly.
The Company
The office was very welcoming and the team was very aware of my level of experience. The office was friendly, enjoyable, but also productive and challenging at times.
Overall, the internship was well organized however at times I have found myself having no tasks to complete. I have tried reaching out to other members of my team to get ad-hoc tasks, however many times it was difficult to do so as I did not have the necessary access to systems.
The firm invests a lot in training programmes and networking events, which are essential in creating a network and connections which may help you further advance in your career.
Flexi Time
Healthcare/Dental
The organization emphasises the mobility opportunities and cares extensively about an employees well being and desired. Future employment prospects are therefore enjoyable and secure, knowing that people within the organization truly care.
The Culture
Overall, all of the interns had a similar approach to situations and the lifestyle, so we all managed to organize ourselves personal events outside of work.
Cost was very high and the overall prestige of the area is of high class. Socialising however was very easy to do as there are many recreational locations and events going on in the area.
I haven't personally experience nightlife in this area.
