The Role
It was a great insight into the industry. The training days were very useful. The networking training day was a little long on just one topic and some of it was reasonably obvious but it was still a useful reminder. The technical training was fantastic. The work shadowing was the best part of the experience. It was great speaking to members of each desk and really finding out about the different jobs available.
The staff were all very helpful explaining what they did and how they enjoyed their work. They were busy so sometimes it wasn't easy to ask questions but most of the time they talked us through their job. The HR and recruitment staff were also very helpful.
They were really helpful giving support where required and encouraging questions.
Extremely busy (in a good way). The work shadowing was less 'busy' but very stimulating when you could have discussions with the staff.
None because we were just first years and you can't trade/meet clients.
Communication skills were developed, they explained the job which is helpful for interviews. Interview skills were also developed - and feedback was given.
The Company
Good atmosphere - everyone enjoyed their jobs and worked hard. I wouldn't say the 'fun never stopped' but it was a hard-working and enjoyable environment.
Mostly well organised but there were some hiccups with the HR staff (probably because there were quite a few of us).
They really invested in us. The training days were from professionals that graduates learn with. They really taught us about the different options of careers etc.

Company Parties/Events
I got a summer internship next summer with the company and really hope it may lead to a full time job after university
The Culture
Yes, we shared apartments which was fun and there were drinks organised most nights and we were encouraged to meet up with other interns.
It was expensive (London is) but that's to be expected.
Didn't really go 'out' but drinks were good in the bars and it was a friendly area.
There were quite a few social events in the evenings which were fun but it was quite a tiring week.
