The Role
The internship has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It has been a steep learning curve, but I have learnt so much in 10 weeks and have learned skills and developed a level of discipline that will help me in all parts of my life.
My team has been very giving with their time, despite being busy, and we (the interns) have had a good level of interaction with senior management, too - showing that they care about employees at all levels. Everyone on the floor has been friendly and willing to meet for coffee/answer any questions.
Every intern is assigned a buddy and a mentor; mine have been very supportive, especially with the end-of-internship presentations.
I feel that this varies a lot depending on your manager and team's styles. Most interns are given large projects that last the whole of their rotation - it is up to you how much effort/the hours you put in.
I was given excellent exposure to the tasks that an analyst would do on a day-to-day basis, e.g. making calls, mining data and working in Excel. My work will be the basis of a report that will be published after I leave.
The internship has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It has been a steep learning curve, but I have learnt so much in 10 weeks and have learned skills and developed a work ethic that will help me in all parts of my life. The presentation was also very good experience for the business world.
The Company
Friendly and buzzing - you can tell everyone is passionate about what they do and are very good at it.
Good structure - one week of training, then 9 weeks on desk, with a review after 4 weeks on desk and a presentation in the penultimate week. Also several speaker series to hear from/chat with senior people in different divisions within the department. There were also good social events and networking events organised for the interns.
In the first week, we had very good accountancy/product training depending on our divisions. There were also sessions on Excel and how to be successful in our careers.

Very - I'd love to get a graduate offer from this employer.

Central London, so fairly high, but the bank recommends decent acommodation just 3 stops from the office, and provides £1000 relocation subsidy.
Excellent.
Volunteering in a community garden, and opportunities to get involved in employee networks, if you choose to.
