The Role
Overall I'd say I've enjoyed the experience, but have found it boring at times.
Everyone has been very nice to me. Have been invited to their social events.
My manager has been very good to me.
Have been nicely busy, albeit with tasks I've found a bit boring.
Was in general given unimportant work to do.
Have undertaken lots of training on Training Central, the firm's online training centre. For example, courses about the firm itself, on financial regulation including anti money-laundering, and on soft skills. They have been interesting & a good way to give myself a bit of variety.
The Company
Nice, relaxed atmosphere.
Mainly very well-organised. There were a few small problems, such as our passes not being ready for us on our first morning & so having to stand in a long queue while they wrote paper passes for us.
Company Parties/Events
I've decided I'm not interested in a career in Operations (the division I'm undertaking my internship in). However, will look at opportunities elsewhere in the firm.
The Culture
Yes! Those of us living in Lyme Regis House (Bournemouth University accomodation near the station) have had an amazing time!
Not too bad.
I've had lots of fun nights out!
Yes! The Bournemouth Activity Club organises lots of fun events, for example I took part in a trip to the New Forest Aqua Park, which was amazing!
