The Role
The majority of the work was not what I was expecting, however the parts that I was interested in were extremely rewarding.
I worked within a very close knit team that rely on one another for individual expertise.
If any issues arose throughout the year my management were always there to help me resolve issues in the most beneficial manner to all parties involved. During the year an excellent relationship was developed that helped me succeed in this role.
The work went through a monthly cycle ranging from manic to calm. During the calm periods it did feel like I wasn't achieving any quantifiable results.
I managed 95% ot the company's legal portfolio. This provided me with a huge amount of responsibility as I was making decisions and providing information that would be relied on in court. The management always treat you like any other member of the team and expect the same results from you as from anybody else.
The work ethic that I developed throughout the year as well as the skills that I picked up on training courses will prove essential to my future progression. Although the work wasn't necessarily related to my degree I have gained a lot of knowledge of the finance industry that will help me throughout the remainder of my degree.
The Company
The people in the office were great, however I was considerably younger than the rest of the staff.
An excellent scheme managed to perfection by the Resourcing Team in Coventry. Plenty of events were provided to allow the students from all of the different sites to meet up and attend training sessions together.

Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus

Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare from home
I would not return to this area of the company, however it is a huge organisation with tens of thousands of employees and i'm sure a similar number of job roles.
The Culture
There wasn't much opportunity to socialise in Redhill, however Central London and Brighton are only thirty minutes away by train.
