    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It's been 8 weeks, since I first joined J.P. Morgan as a Summer Intern Technology Analyst, and I've loved every minute since then!

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I've rated 7, as the team I was in had many people, so they all had to do their day-to-day duties and sometimes(when I was being very demanding) they would give an answer to my queries.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager and all the colleagues managed by the person, responsible for supporting me, have all been very supportive and have always helped me, the second I asked them for their help.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was quite busy, so I didn't really have any chance to start thinking about something else, not related to the project I was involved in. Sometimes, I had to turn off my phone for the entire day, so I could complete my task for the day.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I've rated 7 again, as I was involved in a project, which had many sub groups, so I had to network a lot and understand what their requirements were, so I could meet their and my manager's expectations by the end of the Internship.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It wouldn't have been possible to even start my project, if it wasn't for my previous knowledge from uni, as well as for the number of different trainings I received in the Bank.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The general atmosphere has always been very nice! Maybe the fact that the office I moved in had a gone through a complete refurbishment the day before I joined, so it was very good!

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised, possibly couldn't be organised in a better way, even if I wanted to and that is why I've put a rating of 10=Seamless !

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Regular trainings, as well as online trainings, related to whatever I was interested in, were always available to me and I was never left aside, without being completely clarified on what my task for the day was.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Subsidised Canteen

    Sports and Social Club

    Company Car

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    National Travel

    International Travel

    Financial Bonus

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    Above 25 days holiday

    Working from home

    Healthcare from home

    Healthcare/Dental

    Travel loan

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Very appealing! I am considering joining the Bank, if I got the offer at the end of my Placement!

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was a very good social scene amongst both students and colleagues throughout the whole period of my Summer internship.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I was very lucky with my accommodation and if I didn't have to go back to university after the Internship had finished, I would have definitely stayed in the same house for a long, long time, as it was very cheap, very clean, newly refurbished and in a very quiet and safe area!

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I didn't live in an area, full of many clubs or restaurants, so I can't say it was that great, but that is what I was actually looking for, as the weekly tasks, which I had to complete in the Bank would not allow me to go out the previous night, as I wouldn't have performed well on the next day at work!

    1/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes! There have always been an absolutely "endless amount of Opportunities" as you like to call it and that is why I've put a 10.

    5/5
