The Role
The people i work for are based all over europe which makes it difficult sometimes to know if the work you are doing is being appriciated- even my manager is based in italy. That show how much responsibility 3M give to placement students. However I work with some really lovely people in the office- I just dont do work for them.
Again my manager is based abroad but gives the best support he can from where he is. Other people in the office are always happy to help.
work load varies immensely
you learn not only how to use certain programmes but how to work with people of all ages and backgrounds
The Company
usually quiet but there are always people laughing and chatting.
there is a person in HR whos job it is to look aftrer and support all placement and graduates in the company
the company will train you in any programs you need to do your job and also put the placement students through a development program which involves work shops in progect management and negotiation skills.
Flexi Time

Working from home
at the moment they are really cutting back on employing people but there are many people in the office that did a placement with the company at uni.
The Culture
completely depends on the students that are there that year but there are a few of us that go out regularly and live together.
cost of living is quite high- i lived in the reading uni area and lived with students that was good.
bracknell is really bad but reading is good- not really any big clubs but lots of student bars. London is only 20 mins on the train to.
