The Role
It was an amazing experience where I worked on a big project (M4 Corridor around Newport). I learnt many things thanks to the team who was very competent and interesting.
Everybody in the office help me to integrate me on the team.
My supervisors were always near me when I had questions, and took them time to answer me everyday.
I always had work to busy my days from 8 - 8.30 am until 5pm.
I had the responsability to draw the compound area and be sure we will have enough place to build the different structures.
I developed many skills about the civil engineering in particular with the types of bridges, the highways, the culverts. Moreover, I improved my English language and I learnt civil engineering vocabulary.
The Company
The atmosphere was very good, all the people talked together, they were kind, it war perfect.
My tutor explained me the project during my first days. At the end, I had an interview with my tutor to talk about my internship.
The company help me to develop me by buying some safety books and by making two visits in the site. Moreover, all team took the time to share their knowledge with me.
