The Role
I was given loads of opportunities to train and develop, with some real life, key projects to work on.
I was never seen as a student - always as a colleague
My management changed twice during my placement, but all three managers gave me a lot of time and attention when requested, and provided great direction and support throughout.
I had periods where I was very busy and periods where I had very little to do. The balance wasn't perfect.
I had real projects that were vital to the quality of the product we released. All my projects were essential and it was fantastic to be so involved with them all.
All the various skills and training courses I have done will help me to further my career and help in my studies next year.
The Company
The people in my office were fantastic and we would quite often have a quick chat about various things
My arrival was very poorly organised - however once I had slotted in with the team it was very well organised
Any course I asked to attend was approved and my development was supported from the very beginning.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
I have had a good appraisal with 3M and will be fast tracked into the graduate recruitment process.
The Culture
I can't really compare as I go to university here but Loughborough is fairly cheap
I can't really compare as I go to university here but Loughborough has a couple of clubs and lots of pubs/bars!
We have had two charity events, STEM projects and various nights out in Loughborough
