  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I really enjoy the placement. It broadens my horizon and i gain some practical experience.

    • I am happy to say I feel valued during my time at company as I have been given the work that I am able to deal with.

    • I recevied a lot guidance and support in the company as they always give me different kinds of workshop to enable me to have a better udnerstanding on a certain thing.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I developed a better communication skills as English is not my first language, therefore working a placement can definitely help me to improve my speaking and it is really helpful for my study beyond.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • The structure is not bad even there is no strict time table during the placement. My line manager regularly hosts some workshop to help me to get a better understanding on a certain thing.

    • The atmosphere in the office is really good. It is a professional working environment. Everyone was working on their work and they discussed a lot in work. And the people are friendly.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • The company did pay some money to invest in me as they ordered a computer for me to work and pay me the money for the CSCS test.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • I do not have a clear idea on how the full time role with the firm would be like as I work with different people with independent task during the placement.

    • The placement helps me to understand well the company culture as i am invited to many social events which is a part of the company culture.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?

    • Working in this placement can help me to understand the career path about constructing the infrastructure but I still cannot decide on my future career path yet as i want to see what would it be like if I work on a company building something else, say buildings.

    • I was reimbursed the travel expenses but it is an unpaid job.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Yes. There are some social activies like running club every week. I got a lot of the opportunites to meet other employees in the firm

    • They are good. People in the social event are friendly and easy to approch.
