The Role
This role gives you the opportunity to develop your programming skills.
The team here are very friendly and will help out when needed.
My manager always gave me ideas when I needed help.
I was developing systems often which takes up time as there are many systems to administer.
With developing systems, it helps develop your programming skills and hence helps your problem solving skills.
The Company
The atmosphere is good socially and good to work in.
No problems really.
There is no training invovled with this role. It is more hands on approach which I found challenging but beneficial.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
There are graduate opportunities with Xerox.
The Culture
The placement students arrange different events
Living and socialising costs vary (outside of Welwyn). In Welwyn Garden City, costs are reasonable (based on salary paid for placement year).
Was not keen on the area in terms of nightlife.
There are many opportunities e.g. five a side football
