    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Invaluable experience. Got to see so much in such a short space of time. It was hard work but was absolutely worth it.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Was often called upon to do quite important work and didn't feel like I was given stuff just for the sake of it.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Plenty of support and guidance available. I was in a small office with two other interns and people were always willing to put aside 5 minutes to help us with anything.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy, would sometimes work a 45-50 hour week but like I said, well worth it.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • A lot, I came in to the team replacing a graduate who had just left so had a lot of stuff to pick up.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Helped me become very organised and generally just more efficient with time. However I didn't get to learn many technical skills.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Sometimes the atmosphere was quite stressful. Over the course of my internship various people had left and others were on holiday leaving the people there with a lot to pick up. Other times the atmosphere was great and people were very happy and relaxed, Fridays in particular when once we got Pizza's in for lunch and other days ice cream etc.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well with minor hiccups along the way. Me and the other two interns had to wait a few days before we got our laptops but apart from that there was nothing of note. We were organised to go to various conferences across the countries, meet different people across the business to get insight in to what they do.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Hugely, gave us plenty of different activities to get involved with. Put up in hotels across the country to attend various conferences. Brought along to meetings which I may not have been able to contribute greatly to but was able to learn a lot from.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Was lucky enough to get a referral on to the graduate programme.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Lots of different parties organised by LBG and just independently by other interns. There was almost always something on at least once a week.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London. But worth it.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • London

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Lots of opportunities. We were given two different challenges to be getting on with outside of the internship work itself which were very enjoyable.

    5/5
