The Role
My placement was extremely rewarding and interesting, providing a wide variety of different challenges into the working environment.
Fairly valued - I was often passed work to do from a variety of different team members across the broader team.
To a great extent - my manager was always there to answer questions or provide advice and guidance.
I was fairly busier and got busier as the internship progressed.
As this was a legal placement, I was given as much responsibility as was possible, however this was not a great deal as I am not a qualified lawyer so could not give advice without it being signed off.
To a great extent - it will prove beneficial with both my degree, job applications and my future career with both skills, networking and confidence.
The Company
very friendly and chatty - it was a very comfortable atmosphere.
Overall it was organised extremely well. However the Emerging Talent team who oversaw it seemed to be completely inefficient.
I had to go through Mandatory Training at the beginning of my placement,
Subsidised Canteen
Very appealing
The Culture
Yes - the interns were all living together for the majority of the placement and so there was a very good social scene with lots of activities organised almost every day.
Reasonable.
It was the Edinburgh Fringe Festival so nightlife was varied and there was always something on.
