The Role
I really enjoyed the Internship. My manager, colleagues and other Interns were great. The work was interesting and I now know that HR is definitely something that I want to have a career in.
I was given lots of responsibility by my Line Manager and my colleagues were very encouraging. I felt like I was an important member of the team.
I was given lots of support by my manager and had lots of different people that I could contact if I needed guidance.
I was given the right amount of work on my Internship to keep me busy. If I ever wanted any more, my manager was always open to giving me additional tasks.
Lots of responsibilty, however there was always guidance and support so I did not feel under too much pressure by the importance of my role.
I believe that the transferrable skills will be invaluable. I have improved my public speaking, organisation, leadership and teamwork skills. My manager also arranged for me to complete additional online courses which will help me throughout my degree.
The Company
My team were great. However, as the wider team are based around the country, the office can sometimes be a little quiet.
Very. My manager had arranged a set of objectives for me to work towards prior to my Internship. My projects were also clearly defined with clear steps to complete the work.
I completed many online courses and also had access to a database of books that I could read throughout my time in the group. On a day to day basis, my manager and team also spent a lot of time on my personal development and training.

Great. I am currently undertaking nterviews for a referral to the Graduate scheme.
The Culture
I lived with the other Interns and we often went out together on the evenings and weekends.
The cost of living in Leeds was very reasonable!
I worked in Halifax, however I lived in Leeds for the ten weeks. Leeds has a great nightlife and lots of different things to do in the evenings after work.
