The Role
Very much enjoyed the program, as I was given a number of different opportunities to learn about different teams and senior management were very welcoming in terms of spending time with interns. Given lots of interesting projects, which I learnt a lot about from. Great experience over all.
Very welcoming group of individuals, helped me when I asked for help and were helpful when I was unclear on a topic. A number of socials which allowed me get to know the team on a more personal basis combined with lunchs with the team. Very welcoming group and overall a great expereice.
Very supportive in terms of setting of meetings to understand my performance and also through HR being supportive feedback in order to help us to develop. Management were very honest in terms of how I could improve combined with areas where I was performing well. Overall very supportive.
Days varied but often hours were from 8-8 and the occasiaonl weekend if the work had to be completed by Monday. Lots of meetings throughout the week and lots of events, so this kept me busy. Combined with other projects, a good level of time managament was needed to help acheive the righr balacne.
Given two research projects, which involved analysing nations using a variety of factors , therefore allowing me to develop my technical skills and my understanding of the emerging and frontier markets. Presented these findings to my team which will be implemented in the future.
Technical skills were developed whilst soft skills were developed through working on projects, meetings and other events hosted by HR. The summer will me in understanding the current challenges that the finance industry is facing and the different patterns of economic activity across the world.
The Company
Overall good vibe in the office, great group of people and teams work closely together. A number of socials outside of work and generally a good experience. Great culture as well, demonstrated from junior to senior ranks. Made the experience even greater than it already was.
Very organised, great job form HR in setting up the events and keeping us up to date on the tasks we had to complete such as midterm review. Overall great organisation from everyone throughout the organisation. Could not ask for more in this regard, was seamless. Made the experience even greater than it already was.
Very supportive in terms of setting of meetings to understand my performance and also through HR being supportive feedback in order to help us to develop. Management were very honest in terms of how I could improve combined with areas where I was performing well. Overall very supportive.
