Intern Review

The company gave me a good insight into what they do and my team made sure i was kept busy with tasks that were important to what they were doing, not things which were necessary. The internship was well structured by HR with the presentation element providing an enjoyable challenge although it did distract slightly from getting to know all of the other interns.

The team was really welcoming and were able to teach me a huge amount about the industry and what they do. I still need to learn a bit more about how one works in the structure of a large company but I believe this will come with time.

The "buddy" system works very well in terms of providing someone at a lower level in the company who you don't feel so bad about asking questions to and for the most part the team really helped me to understand various aspects of what they do including taking me out on site visits which I appreciated.

Generally very busy, the team tried to make sure that I had tasks to do at most times and I was happy to do the more mundane parts of the job that they could give me as long as it was contributing to the overall task. I experienced some days where i was less involved but on the whole I was rarely bored.

As much as can be expected for an intern. In general I was given tasks such as calling agencies to research prices as well as inputting data into spreadsheets however these were both important tasks and would've been done by someone higher up if I wasn't there.

As someone who is looking to go into the property industry, it was a hugely valuable experience to see what goes on on a day to day basis and the people around me made it much easier and more enjoyable than I initially expected and I feel much more comfortable with what companies such as Cushman and Wakefield do on a day to day basis.

Generally the office had a nice balance between a relaxed environment and hard work. Everybody seemed friendly and as if they enjoyed their job and working in their respective teams which also makes it an attractive place to work.

The recruitment process was excellent in particular because, due to the face to face interviews and assessment days, it managed to keep some of its personality as opposed to other similar companies who conduct phone interviews for example. The internship was generally well organised with the presentation providing an enjoyable challenge and the presentation skills workshop was hugely useful although as I said earlier it did distract slightly from getting to know the other interns.

As much as could be expected for an intern. The presentation skills workshop was very useful as a general exercise but my team in particular were very good about explaining certain aspects of the industry and valuation to me.

It seems to be a very nice company to work for and I would be happy to work for them in the future . Having spoken to colleagues it seems to be one of the "nicer" firms in the industry and that is always appealing to any prospective employee.

Fairly average amongst fellow placement students since much of our spare time was taken up by the presentation and some of us lived further away than others which meant limited opportunities to socialise together although the end of internship party was excellent. However amongst fellow colleagues it was very good with a corporate day being provided to get to know people and my team in particular often inviting me to socialise with them.

It's central London so not much else can be expected.

Softball matches were available to play in for the graduates and the interns though opportunities for other activities such as football etc. seemed limited although this apparently improves dramatically as a graduate or permanent employee of the company.
