The Role
Felt part of the team. Lots of events to meet informally.
Regularly went for drinks with them and they gave me lots of responsibility.
Helped me through every task but also gave enough independence
A lot of work. But it depends on the desk. If you aren't working you will be shadowing/networking/attending presentations so constantly busy.
A lot. Made useful spreadsheets that they will actually use in the future but could also price trades.
Invaluable. Market awareness gained, especially thanks to having our own Bloomberg terminal. Skills you can't learn elsewhere.
The Company
Upbeat. Trading floor was always buzzing. Getting along with your team is a must and the days fly by.
Very organised
We had our own Bloomberg. Lots of training sessions. Countless events.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
You find out if you got a job on the last day of the internship.
The Culture
Out every Thursday
It's London....
It's London :D
We had a sushi making class which was cool. And lots of parties on the rooftop terrace.
