The Role
Good Placement with real responsibilities.
Felt a much needed part of the team
Was given good support on what to do and how do things as well as good constructive feedback
Felt I had little to do for good portions of the day
Was given the responsibility of any other full time employee
Got good feedback for improvements and support to improve them and thus by end of year had developed many skills which covered both soft skills and technical. Excel skills are very necessary...
The Company
Very informal, (may even too informal) so very relaxed.
Overall AMEX is very experienced at holding placement years
Sent me on several expensive training courses which were very expensive.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Working from home
Very keen on getting people back after university. Offer a sponsership program
The Culture
Very social people who enjoy nights out...
Brighton is fairly cheap compared to London
decent nightlife
Average amount of out of hours activities.
