The Role
The internship was fantastic. The exposure to client work from the beginning was a big surprise, I was not expecting to be working on client work straight away. This shows the company place value and trust on the interns. We had assessed exercises which were actually fun and engaging. The social aspect of the company has also been fantastic and the interns were involved in every event. There was more or less a social every week allowing the interns to get to know the colleagues better. Great company.
As said before, the interns were involved in every aspect of the firm. We were involved in all social events, client work, team lunches and practically everything, This made me feel very valued by the firm and colleagues. Every colleague was also happy to help whenever I had a question.
The support and guidance given by my supervisor was very informing. We had a mid programme review and also a final programme review to tell us how we had performed and also to give feedback to the company about how we felt. We were also given feedback after every assessed exercise we had.
Right from the beginning, I always had something to do. There was never a point in the day where I had no work to do. This was good as it allowed me to develop my organisation skills further.
I was given a lot of responsibility right from the beginning. Client work, sending client emails and organising a social were the sorts of responsibility we were given. The company had good trust in the interns which helps us to do better.
The skills I have further developed whilst being here will definitely come in use at any point in life. The professional skills aspect can be taken to any company in an office environment. The training was fantastic and will definitely come in handy at any job, especially the excel training.
The Company
The general atmosphere in the office was fantastic. It was a friendly, strong team environment which made me want to go to work!
The organisation was really good. We had two induction days which went very well and the programme the company set for the interns was great in the sense it built up our skills over the time here.
The firm have invested so much into me. The set up for us interns was clearly not rushed and was very well planned. The training was thorough and my development was improved with the tasks we had.

The company have invested so much into the interns that future employment is definitely on the companies mind if the intern performs well and fits the competencies.
The Culture
The social aspect of the firm was amazing. Every week we had a social. The company took us out for numerous fully paid dinners, to football tournaments, boat parties and the list goes on!
This was not too expensive. generally some restaurants are expensive but the fact that the company paid a lot of the times and also paid for a boat party it generally wasn't costly for me.
There are loads of pubs nearby which some socials are held at. This is good fun to get to know the colleagues and the team.
So many opportunities. The number of activities outside of work ranged from go karting, football tournaments, golf and way more!
