The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship as I had a chance to get really involved with several projects and was able to shadow an MA in branch
I did work for some very senior members of LBG and they were all very appreciative for my time and my efforts - managers and directors alike
Held informal - daily discussions and formal - weekly discussions with my line manager and I also managed to spend some time with various other people in the team to help guide me
Never a dull moment! My team were very good in allowing me to be flexible with work, meaning I could take on as much or as little as I felt capable
I created packs and presentations for extremely senior members of the group, including a member of the group executive comittee
A truly eye-opening experience that has better adapted me to the wider working world and improved me as an individual
The Company
Very positive, collaborative and diplomatic. All voices were heard and all colleagues were given the support they needed
With an extremely large cohort it was understandable that things got off to a slow start in terms of the intern briefing event, things soon picked up
As a Lloyds scholar, LBG have been investing in me since I applied before I started university, both financially and professionally enabling me to improve as a potential employee
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Working from home
Extremely appealing, I am very hopeful of gaining a place upon the graduate scheme. A fantastic company with greats morals
The Culture
For those who were living in London it was a very sociable group, for those like my self, who commute, it was much harder to get involved with the social activities
It's central London, everything is expensive. Not much more I can say than that really. We did what we could and still had a good time, don't expect it to be cheap.
Several decent pubs and a couple of night clubs gave plenty of opportunity to have a nightlife - providing you had somewhere to stay
Full support from my team to pursue other opportunities within LBG such as shadowing in branch, and the group sports day.
