The Role
I really enjoyed my role becasue I was given alot of opportunity to see all parts of the business.
My work was a valuable contribution to the department
All of my managers helped me throughout my placement with my role, my studies, and my future career
There was always something that could be done. Because I showed capability I was given more to do. The hours I worked were much more than a 9-5, however the benefits outwayed any negative points
I was given alot of responsibilty from all team members and other colleagues, and was given many large projects to manage and control
I developed many skills and gained many valuable experiences for my future career. Most importantly, I had experience for future jobs- and an interesting topic of conversation in interviews. Time management, working with others and real life marketing experience were key skills.
The Company
All students working for Bosch were integrated into the office.. and we were never more than a couple of desks away, even though we all sat with our resective departments. Due to the many business units of Bosch, many students were employed, which made the atmosphere great! Full-time staff were all fairly young and made you part of the company rather than just a student.
Very well organised. There is an actual role for you to do. From the beginning of the placement, where we had product training, hand over period all contributed to a successful placement.
Within the role, you had to help yourself. If you wanted extra training, or wanted to talk to people about things, you had to go out to seek it. However there was always people who would help you. Product training and system training were very important.

Unfortunatly Bosch do not provide a Graduate programme in the UK. Opportunities in Switzerland and Germany are available. However i had a very enjoyable experience at Bosch, which if I was offered a full time role I would def. go back
The Culture
Very good social scene. Due to good numbers of student ( not too many, not too little) we all went out together, either house parties, uxbridge, watford or London
I lived at home, where i lived 20 min drive away. So for me the salary was def. a bonus! The area is where I am from, so i knew it very well.
Good- There is always something to do....Watford and Uxbridge were our fav night spots!
There is a very active social club offering trips and events. The summer BBQ is always a good start to the beginning/end of your placement.
