The Role
Everyone were very welcoming and made sure I received help and advice whenever I needed. People listened to my ideas and I felt that my work was valuable to the team.
People on my desk always took the time to introduce me to new people or to answer any questions I had. My supervisors made sure I received relevant training and that I got along well in general.
Most days were very busy, but it never became too much to handle. On rare occasions I had to seek out new work or find more things to do, as I had finished all current projects, but on most of the time I was constantly busy with something.
Responsibility varied between desks and the people I reported to, but overall I felt that I received a lot of responsibility. And in the cases where I didn't receive much responsibility from the start, it usually improved as the internship progressed.
The skills I've learnt will be extremely useful in my studies and for any future work experience. In addition to skills related to the role and the industry, I've improved things like presentation skills, networking skills, and time-management.
The Company
Great! Although people are busy, they are generally very friendly and approachable. People also truly seem to enjoy working here, which makes the atmosphere very nice!
Very well organised. HR organised a number of presentations and networking events every week, as well as socials and other activities. All admin information relevant to the internship programme was easy to find and you always knew who to contact in case you had queries about the programme.
We received relevant training in Bloomberg, Excel, etc. during the first two weeks.

The Culture
All interns got along very well and it was easy to socialise with people after work or during company events.
Standard central London prices, so in general quite expensive to eat out or go for drinks.
London. Need not say more.
There are a number of sports clubs and charities within the company, however due to work hours it wasn't always easy to find the time to get involved.
