The Role
A challenging but thoroughly enjoyable year and a rewarding experience.
With a continuing student cpmmunity at Xerox, colleagues are well used to our presence and offer us the same respect as any other employee.
I recived training from the previous student during a 2 week handover. I also recieved guidance from my managers thoroughout the year, helping with any problems i encountered.
The nature of finance work means the i was busier during the month close, but there was plenty of work to do during the mid month period. However at the same time, i never felt overwhelmed as the workoad was shared out evenly across the team.
Despite being a student i was treated like any other employee and given equal responsibility.
The experience proved to be an invaluable experience bridging the gap between the theoretical learning at university and the practical nature of industry.
The Company
A freindly yet professional atmosphere.
Everything ran smoothly with regular contact from our HR reps.
Students are given access to the online learning website providing learning on a wide range of topics, helping to develop our skills.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
The friendly atmosphere and excellent grad scheme make returning to Xerox an appealing idea.
The Culture
With a large number of students on campus there was a great social scene with many out of work events.
I can't comment as i lived at home and commuted to the office.
I can't comment as i lived at home and commuted to the office.
There were plenty of oppurtunities to socialise with the other students outside of the office, with trips, nights out and events such as paintball.
