The Role
While my colleagues were lovely the work was not challenging.
They knew I had no work to do and therefore had the attitude of "why are you here", not becuase they were being rude but becuase they didn't understand what I or the bank was getting out of it.
When I has tasks to do my manager was very supportive.
I had to make two hours work last a day.
I was given responisibility in the sense that I was trusted to arrange shadowing days for myself.
I learnt to work with a team I had little in common with.
The Company
Fairly upbeat but people were under a fair amount of pressure.
I was able to log into the system on my first day but the over arching aims of the internship were not made clear to myself or my manager,
I was allowed to use all online training and resources and go out to different departments in the business.
Company Parties/Events
While there are a variety of grad schemes available they are all very specific with limited scope to transfer between schemes.
The Culture
Yes, especially in the accomodation provided.
Central London so very expensive.
I worked almost an hour away from the accomodation with no other interns close by so did not socialise in the area.
Not that I am aware of.
