The Role
I greatly enjoyed my internship. It was very well organised and I have gained a lot out of the speaker sessions and training events. The UBS social events were brilliant as well and it was great to get to know all the other interns.
I feel valued by all my collegaues. The team were generally quite busy and appreciate someone helping them out. They are always willing to put time aside to help as well.
The support and guidance given by my team and supervisor was great. I was guided through the tasks and project I needed to do. There was also a structured mentoring programme in place to help us out.
I have got substantial projects to work on and was kept busy day to day with a variety of tasks as well. There are still some opportunities to shadow people from other teams and other areas.
As my team is not that large, I was able to take on some responsibility over the internship. I was delegated important day to day tasks to keep me busy and interested.
I felt I have develop my interpersonal and communication skills which would definitely helps towards my degree studies and beyond. The workshops and speaker sessions were great as well.
The Company
The atmosphere was quite good. The people in my office are generally quite laid back and I enjoy the working environment. I felt quite welcome by everyone.
The overall internship was set up in a quite structured way. There was a week of training events and workshops at the beginning and there are workshops and social events organised during the internship.
The company did invest substantially into the summer internship programme. We received regular feedback and we have weekly sessions with speakers from our business area to learn more about how things work.

The future employment prospect within the organisation are generally quite reasonable. Whilst the company wasn't particularly hiring large amount of people into the graduate scheme, there are still good opportunity available.
The Culture
There is a good social scene amongst fellow interns and colleagues. The interns often organise drinks and dinners informally amongst ourself in addition to the company social events.
The cost of living and socialising in the area around the Liverpool street office are not the cheapest but easily affordable with the salary we get for our internship.
The Nightlife was reasonably decent, although given the area it was relatively expensive than what I have been used to. But still the bars and clubs around here are good.
Yes there are some opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work. The company organise various events and often many events are orgniased informally.
