The Role
The actual day-to-day tasks did get a little boring after a period of time, but taking on other activities makes the role more varied. It's what you make of the placement - being proactive and looking for tasks really helps.
Everyone was very grateful for me taking on the Admin shift - over the xmas period several emails of gratitude were received.
My manager just left me to work at my own pace, but other members of the team were very supportive and always offered support where they could.
Day-to-day activities varied greatly, but mostly there was a lot of free time to fill.
I was given some managerial duties and was responsible for contacting the customers.
The online training I received has helped me to develop my presentation skills greatly and I feel that my confidence has increased immensely. DB2 accreditations are a great addition to the CV and think they will give me the edge when applying for graduate roles.
The Company
There was hardly anyone in the office - bu there were lots of students around to socialise with.
The placement scheme is brilliant! There's loads of support and training available and it was very well organised.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
The opportunity to skip the first assessment center when reapplying for a graduate role.
The Culture
All students socialised and got on really well. There was the chance to meet students from all over the UK and several Christmas events were also set up as well.
Being on the outskirts of London meant that living in the area was quite expensive and the bars were expensive too (unless you went during happy hour)
20minutes from central London.
Giveback is always offered around the UK and in many local schools.
