The Role
Massively enjoyed the internship. This placement is certainly the most fun and most engaging job I have ever had. Would strongly recommend it to anyone who thinks they might be at all interested in programming.
Highly valued, everyone seemed interested in the progress of my project.
My manager was very good at giving support and guidance. I was sat next to him and felt comfortable asking questions but was also encouraged an appropriate amount to think of answers myself.
I always had plenty of work.
I wasn't entirely in charge of the direction of the project but this suited me as I was quite inexperienced when I joined.
I learnt a lot of programming which will clearly be useful for future careers. Metaswitch were very good at communications exercises too. I gave two assessed presentations over my time there.
The Company
Atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming!
My internship was broadly well organised. Only thing I would say is my manager did not seem to know my current level of experience when I arrived (zero).
A lot! I already mentioned the assessed communications exercises and my manager helped me to learn a lot.

Massively! Have not yet applied but I certainly will.
The Culture
Not especially, there weren't very many of us there. I socialised much more with the regular staff.
Acceptable, living in a city is always expensive.
Pretty good.
Yes there were many things to keep me occupied.
