The Role
My internship was a life changing experience. The people at Nomura are truly inspiring and manage to balance a very high level of commitment and professionalism with a collegiate and team-oriented approach. Inarguably one of the best internship programmes on the street. Lots of senior exposure and much more responsibility early on than at peers.
The firm has an incredibly dynamic and welcoming culture. Interns receive respect from their colleagues at all times and are given the trust and responsibility to drive their own work with guidance and attention from seniors at all times.

Very busy, working 16-19 hours per day most days. However this differs largely from team to team. However the atmosphere was always energetic and positive which made the work fun and made the hours feel lighter.
I was given a lot of responsibility as well as a lot of guidance and support to deliver what was expected of me and more.
My internship with Nomura was truly a life changing experience. I developed both my technical skills and soft skills to a degree which I couldn't imagine possible before doing the summer analyst programme. People actually take the time to see to your development and invest their time in you.
