The Role
Great overviews from not just the team you are put in, but also to surrounding teams. Was able to add value to the team by taking on normal day to day tasks rather than intern specific tasks. Also got given a very big project and had to present in front of managers which was a great way to show your skills whilst having a long lasting effect o n the company through our suggestions based on our project.
Did not feel like the intern. Able to take on normal tasks and left at the same time as everyone else.
Within the 10 weeks we had 2 reviews, which included strengths and constructive feedback. Also anyone you speak to is willing to help.
Towards the beginning I wasn't overloaded with work but more training. Towards the end I was working daily on my projects as well as helping with day to day tasks.
Again got given and trained on normal tasks. Was responsible for my two projects which required constant feedback to the team and regular meetings for next steps.
Working longer hours will make university workload much easier. Presentations skill will aid throughout the future and the training and overviews will help with any future applications.
The Company
It is a flat organization, you can talk freely and ask for help form any one including people you haven't met. very friendly down to earth people.
Lots of training and overviews towards the beginning and then when workload increases these ease off. very well organised.
Plenty. The project I was working on was a clear indication that the work we do is valued and will be continued after we leave.
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Very. Very prestigious company but made to feel like one of the team from day one.
The Culture
Generally the interns split into groups but we went out most Fridays and Goldman put on a couple of social/networking events.
I commuted from reading which was cheaper than living in London. Eating out for food and dinner regular adds up but its all part of the London experience.
Generally a good area as there are tube lines going anyway. Didn't explore surrounding area too much.
Sports event, volunteering, corporate runs.
