The Role
Like any sort of change, I experienced both ups and downs.
By in large most colleagues seemed to value you highly. Apart from the odd occasion I never felt as if I was being treated as a child.
A lot. The buddy system works well. My buddy was refreshingly honest and also very helpful. Towards the end of the internship I also found it helpful to talk to senior bankers. I felt the role of DO was less helpful.
Fairly. I think this is also dependent on the person. As the internship progressed, I was able to balance workload and capacity much better.
A fair amount. Varied from person to person. A good balance I think.
I did not think the training week was particularly useful. As someone who has never studied accounting this largely went over my head. Also the amount I learnt varied from person to person - those who were good teachers taught me a lot.
The Company
I was very lucky with where I sat. Pretty chilled environment. People always willing to have a quick chat and joke around. Also less about facetime. Not sure if I could say the same for the whole office though.
Very well organised. HR had clealry put a lot of thought into the organisation of this event. Also well thought out - i.e. the support system from buddy through to mentor.
A lot. I feel like they did invest in you. However, they invest in you for a reason so I dont think this is particularly surprising.

Too soon to tell.
The Culture
Yes. Although a divide between British and non-British students.
Track was a great place to have a small coffee break. Also nice to get out the office and head nearby for lunch.
Quite fun.
I'm sure there was but I did not take full advantage of these.
