The Role
I enjoyed my placement a lot, the dynamic in my team and the workplace overall is good.
I feel I embedded into my team very well. My colleagues on a company scale all seemed respectful.
My managers were willing to help whenever I felt I needed it.
I always had a constant flow of work, I never felt bored or as if I was sitting around.
More than I expected, after I completed my initial work I was given projects that'll actually be used by internal staff on a wide scale basis
In terms of my working / professional life I've learnt a great deal as this is my first job in such a professional industry. In terms of technical skills I didn't learn much more than I already knew, just got to practice and apply it.
The Company
My floor and my team had a perfect balance of work and play. The environment wasn't too slack nor too strict.
I felt there could have been more intern networking events put on. It felt like they were all at the start and the end with not much inbetween. However, communications with HR and the general flow of the internship was good.
My team seems interested in me moving forward with my skills.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I'd feel pleased if I were to be offered a full time position here.
The Culture
The interns were all keen to interact and organize events independent of HR, as were my team mates who I spent time with outside of work.
London is expensive wherever you are, I was situated in between shoreditch and bethnal in student flats which were cheaper than a normal house.
Canary Wharf has a lot of bars to socialize after work, London as a whole is full of iconic clubs and also hidden gems.
For the interns not much was offered.
