The Role
I really enjoyed it, it was well structured, people were supportive and I learnt a lot.
A professional environment but everyone was very supportive and helpful and were always enthusiastic about answering any questions.
I was given a lot of support and guidance by my managers, they continuously ensured that I knew what I should be aiming to acheive with my projects and how I should go about it and who best to speak to.
I was given a lot of projects whilst also trying to meet as much of the team as possible and so I was busy.
It's hard to give responsibility within the industry when you are an intern, but the projects I was given were very current and so were useful for my own learning and for the team.
I have graduated and so they will not help me with my further studies, but as I hope to enter this industry they will be very useful in the long term.
The Company
Very busy, but people were enthusiastic and motivated.
Very well organised, it was rotational and well structured, whilst also giving us opportunities to rotate in other areas to learn more and meeet other people.
We had two weeks of training prior to starting on the desk and this was very useful. Throughout the internship we also had personal skills and career development training session and these were useful as they gave a perspective and advice from people with far more experience and this was interesting.
Company Parties/Events
Travel loan
Very appealing, I have really enjoyed the internship and would very much like to receive an offer to be able to return and work full time.
The Culture
We had a really good group of interns and everyone got on really well.
Living in London is expensive, however the accomodation recommend to us by Bank of America was very reasonable and close to work too.
London has very good nightlife.
There were, but as an intern you are very busy so quite difficult to find the time.
