The Role
The internship was challenging and enriched by very open-minded and supportive people. You are truly driven to your extremes.
Very much so. The tasks we got were serious tasks, including independently managing projects. We have, also on the social front, formed a close-knit group and enjoy spending time with our colleagues outside the office as well (weekly drinks, etc.).
Management was very supportive, by acting as mentors and organising extensive training sessions.
We were busy, but it was never unreasonable. The key point is to feel that, after the internship, we have truly contributed to the firm and its clients - something that requires you to put in a fair amount of hours.
We were quickly trusted to take on our own assignments, which grew in scope and responsibilities as the internship progressed.
The internship has provided the practical backdrop to my studies, and showed me on what areas to focus to achieve my goals. Very helpful, and eye-opening.
The Company
General atmosphere was collegial and professional. We worked when work had to be done, but also took the opportunity for more personal interactions when time permitted.
Very well organised. HCM did an outstanding job - we knew what we had to do and when, both in the department as well as firmwide.
The amount of training we received was extraordinary, and all of it was done in very small group settings.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Very much so - definitely aim to keep in touch.
The Culture
The cost of living was quit high, unfortunately, but the firm took care to make sure we were paid enough to make do.
Nightlife is good, if a bit expensive.
Yes, too many to sum up. This varies from sports and other social committees to gym sessions and drinks.
