The Role
The internship was great. It was a good introduction to private banking, as well as challenging and fun.
As the internship progressed, I felt that I contributed more and more to the team. In the final weeks, I worked on numerous important projects that were presented to senior directors.
My line manager and buddy were always there ready to help me. This was excellent!
As normally in an internship, the first couple of weeks were pretty relaxed. Then the workload started to pick up and I have been busy in a good way.
Plenty. I went to many client meetings, held presentations to senior directors, and assisted in many key projects
A fair amount. Private banking is less technical than my degree, but I still learned a lot of banking skills.
The Company
Excellent. The atmosphere was very open and friendly. Senior directors were always approachable and nice.
Really good. There was a clear structure in place of what was expected from us during the internship.
Since it is an internship, personal training and development is limited. However, there were numerous training related presentations held by senior management.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Excellent.
The Culture
Yes - many collegeus were organising weekly squash and football games.
Expensive since the office is located in the centre of London. However, plenty of good pubs around the office.
Great - walking distance to Mayfair, Leicester Square, and Soho
Yes. We were e.g. doing a charity project.
