The Role
My 9 week internship was enjoyable as it made me want to go into the world of work.
I couldn't have been placed in a nicer team and my input was valued from Day 1.
Although my managers were always very busy, they aimed to set aside time everyday to support me.
There were definitely occasions where I didn't have much assigned work although if I went looking for it there was usually some there.
There were a couple of tasks that I would say had a some attached responsibility - however the majority of my work was made up of analysis which ha no deadline nor huge responsibility.
I would say my analysis skills definitely improved, as did my understanding of what it meant to be part of a massive organisation. However, as I was in fairly back office operations, which meant I had little to do with actual insurance.
The Company
A happy and upbeat atmosphere.
The internship organisers had excellent ideas for the scheme although I'm not sure these were always carried out.
This is something I could not fault.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Their treatment of graduates seems second to none.
The Culture
In some of the more centralised offices there seemed to be, but not where I was in the outer branches.
Bristol - Expensive.
Bristol - Excellent.
We did have a couple of team nights out which were good fun.
