The Role
Internship was well planned and well strucutured by the campus recruitment team. Provided various exposure to diffeerent lines of the business. Everyone who I came in contact with was both friendly and helpful at all times. No matter how busy people were they always had some time for you.
All of collogues were more than welcoming to me joining them on the desk. Any work I produced for them always received thanks as well as any constructive criticism but never undeserved. They made a great effort to make you feel part of the team.
There were various systems in place to provide support/ guidance including line managers, desk buddies and mentors. At any point I felt I could go to any of these people should I have needed any help or advice.
There were times when it felt as though there was very little to do although these were not that often and there was normally good reason as to why the rest of the team were too busy to assign more work. Overall the work load was comfortable, wouldn't have minded if there was a little more.
Varied massively from desk to desk. The division as a whole makes it hard to give significant responsibilty however I felt that the effort was made to give interns as much responsibilty as possible.
This is my last day so I am yet to find how the skills/ training will help me, although what I can say is that in the 10 weeks I have been here I have learnt an unbelieavble amount, both about finance/ banking and life experience.
The Company
Always very warm, welcoming and positive from everyone (pretty much). Very lively a lot of the time given the division so never a dull moment!!!
Extremely well!!! Clearly the campus recruitment team put an immense amount of time and work into the programme and it cleary works. Have heard stories from friends elsewhere of terrible admin but not the case here.
They clearly invested massive amounts of time. That would be that stood out to me the most. The divison is filled with busy people working in stressful environments but people always had time for you.
