The Role
The people I worked with were so friendly and helpful that I felt very comfortable going in to work
I had regular catch up and feedback meetings to ensure I was on track and during these it was made clear that the team valued the work I was doing. Also I could see results from my work.
I felt I could ask any questions and they were always answered. I felt that my Manager knew the types of projects I could complete and where she could push me to just outside my comfort zone to get the best out of me.
My fisrt few months were nicely paced I had alot of time to complete projects, the run up to the last few months went so quickly as I was juggling lots of different projects but feel I was equipped to work like this at this stage.
I was given a lot of responsibility when launhing 4 new products as the Food Technologist wanted me to be in control in order to get the most experience from the project.
I feel that I learnt and applied the skills from University and I feel that from this I learnt so much from my placement.
The Company
Good working atmosphere.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Headcount is very closely monitored so I am not pinning all hopes on future employment straight after University but I would 100% apply for a job if one was available.
The Culture
Very friendly.
Lived in Reading - not too expensive.
Already a studenet at Reading uni so lived in Reading which was fun.
Lots of clubs and societies to join at a reasonable price
