The Role
I really enjoyed the Savills Summer Scheme. It was great to have real life exposure to the job of a land agent/
Yes, I felt highly valued. There was a good level of feedback and praise.
There was support available if you needed it or asked for it. When you first start you're given more directive support until you managers/supervisors know you can be trusted.
It was great to be kept busy. For over half of my placement I was covering someone else's work while they were on holiday so I had a lot to do.
I was given a high level of responsibility. It was perfect! I felt supported yet empowered.
I finished my degree 4 years ago and am moving to the rural profession after full time employment somewhere else. The internship will really help with the masters course required for become a rural surveyor as there is no substitute for putting theory into practice.
The Company
Friendly but hardworking
It was really well organised
A great deal! I felt like Savills gave me a lot of time and input.
Great!
The Culture
I went out for drinks on my last day and everyone was friendly throughout. The social scene wasn't hugely vibrant apart form that as I was the only placement student.
Value for money - reasonable. I lived in the area anyway.
Quite good - I knew the area well anyway because I live there
I didn't hear of any
