The Role
I had great support from my colleagues and the HR staff. It was a really fascinating three weeks, although it was also quite exhausting. I really enjoyed working with my colleagues, who were all really brilliant and very kind.
100%. They were incredibly supportive and given that I am not a law graduate, very helpful when explaining different tasks and concepts. They thanked
My supervisor was brilliant. She was very busy but always took teh time to go over everything carefully and slowly. She never made me feel like I was a nuisance and really welcomed me into the team.
Very busy, which I liked.
I was very busy but I was not given anything I could not handle- they give you work that pushes you but it will never be anything that isn't checked so as long as you try your best, there is no need to worry.
It developed my research skills. it's given me a better sense of commercial awareness.
The Company
Very good. Everyone was very busy, but people all liked each other (or seemed to!) and the atmosphere was very congenial, as well as very hard-working and motivated.
Well. The only issue was that the projects were in on the same day as some of the interviews, which was not ideal, but that's more down to Partner availability than anything else.
I would hope a lot. They allowed us to come into the firm for 3 weeks and as realistically the staff who gave us work must have had to spend a considerable amount of time checking it, I would say a lot of time and effort went into it- this is alongside all of the programs and events that were organised by the HR department.
I will hear back shortly, but I hope they're very good!
The Culture
Yes, I went for drinks with fellow placements students but also with colleagues who actually worked there.
We went for drinks
There were planned activities for the summer scheme students.
