The Role
I very much enjoyed the experience. Lots of exposure and involvement and a surprising amount of responsibility early on.
Highly. Again, the amount of responsibility that I was presented with early on was surprising.
To a great extent. All members of my team went out of their way to assist me whenever required.
I was kept very busy throughout through a combination of longer term projects and daily tasks,
Again, a surprising amount. I contributed (albeit in a limited fashion) to pieces of research that were subsequently published and was involved in processing client requests.
To a great extent. My understanding of financial markets and the industry as a whole has improved greatly and my technical abilities has improved significantly.
The Company
Good - quiet owing to it being a research floor but very friendly.
Very well. Our desk work was punctuated by

The Culture
Yes - I went out with my fellow interns most weekends and had several social events with full time employees.
Expensive owing to it being in the City of London.
Good Monday-Friday. Quiet on weekends though.
Yes. We partook in a day of volunteering within the community and were involved in a spinathon competition against interns from other divisions within the bank.
