The Role
All of the tasks were well-explained and the people around the firm were friendly. The legal work was at times dry, but the placement overall was very enjoyable.
Many of the colleagues made an effort to include the summer students, while others seemed too busy to concentrate on the placement understandably.
The buddy system at Nabarro is very helpful and nice to have someone a little younger helping you out where need be. Some of the other placement students felt a little left high and dry by their buddies.
Most days were quite full with various tasks.
It was nice to get a variety of work which included some tasks which meant quite a bit of independance and responsibility.
Having never done a scheme before, it taught me a lot about the way a city firm works on a day to day basis and the type of work to expect as a trainee.
The Company
Busy, busy, busy. People were always on the run.
Very well organized, many events to attend, great HR team.
By putting us into one department for 3 weeks, we were given an opportunity to hone our skills.
Subsidised Canteen
Would be a really nice firm to continue on a legal career with but will not know of any training contracts until a little later on.
The Culture
Yes, everyone on my placement was really very nice.
Expensive! Holborn is an expensive area and the local bar is expensive. Nabarro did provide many free drinks and dinner nights for us though.
Didn't really access this.
Yes, people were inviting us a long places quite often.
