The Role
The only factor limiting my enjoyment was that due to confidential nature of the work, I could not be involved in as much work as I would have liked.
The team were very friendly and welcoming
Guidance was given at times, but as people were busy it was sometimes difficult to know what to do. Therefore there was a need to use your initiative, consequently this should not be viewed negatively.
At times there was a lull in work, but generally this was only for a short period and there was a constant flow of work.
Not much responsibility was given, due to the nature of the work, therefore I had more of a support role.
I gained a realistic view into the property world and developed my skills that were already established, but importantly I learnt such things that you need to be assertive.
The Company
The team were very friendly and likeable
The placement was well organised apart from a few days where people were on holiday and therefore I had little work to do.
The team were keen for me to socialise and go to networking events. They also taught me the skills needed to do my tasks.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I may have got a job with them, and if not, the placement will look really good on my CV for when I apply to their graduate scheme
The Culture
The team went on a social night once, however I didn't get to socialise much with others on the placement, however they were not on the formal summer scheme
I did not live in Edinburgh, but commuted from my sisters in Glasgow which was expensive.
I didn't go out in Edinburgh as I was commuting from Glasgow.
Only one social event
