    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The only factor limiting my enjoyment was that due to confidential nature of the work, I could not be involved in as much work as I would have liked.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The team were very friendly and welcoming

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Guidance was given at times, but as people were busy it was sometimes difficult to know what to do. Therefore there was a need to use your initiative, consequently this should not be viewed negatively.

    3/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • At times there was a lull in work, but generally this was only for a short period and there was a constant flow of work.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Not much responsibility was given, due to the nature of the work, therefore I had more of a support role.

    2/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I gained a realistic view into the property world and developed my skills that were already established, but importantly I learnt such things that you need to be assertive.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The team were keen for me to socialise and go to networking events. They also taught me the skills needed to do my tasks.

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Sports and Social Club

    Company Parties/Events

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I may have got a job with them, and if not, the placement will look really good on my CV for when I apply to their graduate scheme

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The team went on a social night once, however I didn't get to socialise much with others on the placement, however they were not on the formal summer scheme
